Alchemy Festival

Set against the backdrop of a beautiful, Lincolnshire nature reserve, Alchemy Festival runs from the 21st to the 23rd of September. A little later than your average summer shindig, although given the bullshit weather we’ve been having, it aint going to matter, the autumn schedule isn’t the only intriguing thing about this hidden gem of the UK festival circuit. With a definite non-corporate ethos, bringing an affordable experience from ticket prices (£60 max) right down to their website proclamation of “No £6 burgers!”, the grassroots spirit is very much reflected in the choice of line-up.

Here at JAM, we’re excited to see the Inner Terrestrials on the roster, one of the UK’s finest punk bands, fusing Ska and Reggae into their balls-out squat punk racket, as well as the mighty AOS3 who made their name on the free festival scene of the early 90’s. For those of you who like your music a little more electronic, Vex’d, probably some the greatest Dubstep producers ever, will be gracing the fields with their horrible, techy, nasty brand of the genre; Skream & Benga they are not (thank God). All in all there are over 100 bands and DJ’s playing over seven stages for three days, so if there isn’t something to wet your whistle, you should probably go and have a word with yourself.

See you in the fields!!!
