Beacons 2013 – Preview

Beacons is back!!! That’s right kids, one of the UK’s brightest up and comers is returning in style to its Yorkshire home this August, just don’t expect to find too many flat caps, whippets or pints of warm ale… With a line-up as diverse and well chosen as it is, everything from Django Django and Local Natives, through UK Hip-Hop’s l’enfant terriblĂ© Lunar C, to the mighty Dub of Iration Steppas, it’d be a shame not to get in there at the moment, while the festival is still small enough for the tickets to be sub-tonne prices.

Set in the gorgeous Yorkshire Dales locale of Heslaker Farm near Skipton, as well as the quality line-up Beacons boasts a great range of quality food and drink at reasonable prices, guerrilla theatrics and walk-about entertainers, a healing quarter and selection of art installations to keep the cultured amongst you happy. In fact, Beacons does effortlessly what few festivals truelly manage to pull off, they really do provide something for everyone. The hardest of hardcore ravers will be just as well catered for as the family bringing their children without any loss of authenticity. We here at JAM are raring to go for this one. See you in the fields!!!
