It’s back!!! That’s right kids, the Mischief Fam’ are returning to bring you round three of the naughtiest, cheekiest, most mischievous festival going. Still only in it’s third year, Mischief Festival is a mere zygote in the grand scheme of things yet, judging by the line-up released yesterday, that you were probably too hung over to notice, you’ll be hard pushed to find a better collection of underground music and quite frankly, nutcases.

With a bill headlined by The Fat Bastard’s Gang Band, a troupe of French loonies who do a great line in big, Balkan sounds, the Electric Swing Circus (the Ronseal of band names) and the always incredible Ska and Dub tinged Punk of the Inner Terrestrials, you probably get a fair idea of what to expect. Hellfish, the originator of the Hardcore/Hip Hop breaks cross-over is also making an appearance, as is the sublime, soon-to-be-massive Bahia and the loveable tossers, The Undizirebels, who’ll be kicking out their own brand of street/squat/folk punk.

Running from the 20th to the 23rd of September in an as yet, undisclosed location, somewhere in West Sussex, there really is no reason not to get down to this, except for not getting your shit together in time. Handily, with a ticket price of just £66 or a buy five get one free offer, even that seems like somewhat of a weak excuse. With plenty of stalls, activities and arts performers on hand to complement the six stages of music, much of which is still to be revealed, this is the perfect way to wrap up your summer. We at JAM can’t wait for this one and we expect to see each and every one of you in the mud with us… or there’ll be trouble!
